Job Description

Workshop assistant required, my client are a well-estabilished manufacturer based in the Oldham area. Due to the ongoing success they are looking for a workshop asssitant to asssit them with fabrication and sheet metal work. The successful candidate willbe a People Person that is abitious and wanting to succeed.Workshop Assistant Position Overview

  • FLT Operation when required.
  • Assembling workbenches and trolleys
  • Ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned screwed in or glued.
  • Able follow a production schedule and ensure everything is kept to production deadlines.
  • Reading and understanding product codes and assembly instructions.
  • Assisting with loading/ unloading of vehicles
  • Palletising and loading of workbenches when required.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Be flexible and adaptive as the demand requires.
Fabricator / Workshop Assistant Position Requirements
  • To have previously worked in a production environment.
  • Experience of operating guillotines, folders and press-brakes
  • Sheet metal or fabrication experience is ideal
  • Able to read drawings and dimensions
  • Knowledge of assembly techniques.
  • Able to use assembly tools.
  • FLT licence required
  • Able to deal with physical work
  • Must live within a commutable distance to Oldham.
Fabricator / Workshop Assistant Position Remuneration
  • Full time - Permanent
  • Salary £22,000 - £26,0000 - Dependent upon experience
  • 07:30 - 16:30, Monday to Thursday, 07:30 - 13:30pm Friday
  • 31 Days Holiday, including Bank Holidays
  • Pension
