You will support the end to end mortgage application process in in the Mortgages Operations Department by working with Aldermore partners, such as intermediaries and valuers. This non-mandated roleacts as support to both underwriters and brokers to ensure that the journey of each application is effective, efficient, and seamless for the customer.When the time is right, we would love to welcome you to our Wilmslow office. In the meantime you will be based remotely. Youll be made to feel part of your new team by your Line Manager Operations Manager and colleagues through regular contact and virtualinteraction.What would your day look like* To review and screen applications to ensure all packaging requirements have been met and all applicant data has been correctly keyed.* Deliver exceptional customer and broker service as the lead contact on cases during the application process implement necessary contact strategy at each stage of the application.* To review documentation and supporting information in line with bank policy and product criteria to ensure a fully packaged application is presented for underwriting, * To understand and apply all Bank policies applicable to regulatory requirements, lending responsibly, credit risk criteria and fraud prevention.* Support the education of brokers in best practice in case submission, use of the portal and system and understanding our proposition and packaging requirements * Both technical system knowledge of the originations system and the wider supporting systems (quest, lender hub, kama etc.) * Ability to apply supporting processes in the end-to-end review of mortgage applications. * Support the management of a large volume of mortgage applications, ensuring all underwriting activities are prioritized to deliver against service KPIsWhat do we expect of you* Experience working within a banking environment is advantageous* Knowledge of mortgages and underwriting would be beneficial * Support a culture of continuous improvement working to suggest and develop ideas to improve the customer journey* Have a proactive and professional approach to drive a right first-time outcome for the customer* Experience working in a fast paced and change driven environment, owning and driving improvements* Deliver an excellent quality of service, meeting agreed service levels and achieving individual KPIs and supporting the team KPIs* Demonstrating a consistency of delivery with strong attention to detail.What can you expect of us* A friendly and flexible culture, synonymous with our proposition to our customers.* A growing organisation that defines itself as being nimble, lean and strong.* A drive for continuous improvement, which you will be empowered to get behind from day one. * A communicative, accessible and approachable ExCo.
