Underground Fibre Cabler - Manchester Full time, Permanant postion£26,400 - £30,000 p.a I am currently working exclusively with a tier 1 contractor based in Manchester who are looking to expand exponentially as a result of successful delivery. Forming part of a team or work as an individual on Telecommunications network according to client and company protocol. Work within confinements of streets, sidewalks, inside FW, chambers and climb poles installing new fibre optic network. Responsibilityas part of a team to complete project on delivered on time, within budget and adhering to all quality, health and safety specifications. Perform a variety of tasks overhead or underground as per daily task. General Operatives are required to work outside inall kinds of weather or in buildings without heating or air conditioning. Some tasks are dangerous. The job duties of a General Operatives vary. They may include cleaning and preparing a job site, loading, and delivering materials, set up and take down ladders,scaffolding, and other temporary structures.Role & Responsibilites:1. Financial

• Adhere to all set monthly weekly daily targets
• 100% accuracy of daily actuals completed
• Cost effective allocation and use of company resources
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting and supporting documentation (Site File to be accurately submitted)
• Ensure that all members of the team take care off company resources

2. Operational

• Will be required in any of the workflows of a fibre optic build. TRR, UG cabling, OH cabling or pulling in of subducts or as required by your superior
• Will be required to open and close footway or Chamber lids
• Set up ladder, climb poles in a safe manner
• Take care of equipment issued to you and your team
• Submitted 100% accurate and complete reports and feedback
• Adhered to timelines / delivery targets / timeliness of project
• Adhere to all standards, protocol and procedures set out
• Escalation and resolutions of problems
• Accurate reporting
• Allocation of equipment. Take responsibility of rented equipment
• Establish teamwork and ensure that all project activities are carried out in line with the approved project plan and budget.
• Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time-to-time by the Project Manager, Supervisor, or team leader.
• Quality checks on all installations.
• Give daily documented feedback to the Project Manager, Supervisor, or team leader with regards to the progress of the project.
• Professional communication to our client and vendor base
• Providing professional client services
• Work efficiently in a quality manner
• Will be needed to travel and relocate for certain amount of time

Qualifications & Education:

• Experience in the telecommunications industry
• NRSWA
• SA001 & SA002
• S007/S008 (Beneficial)
• Medium risk Confined spaces (Beneficial)
• IPAF (Beneficial)
