Job Description

Pharmaceutical Manufacturer based in Greater Manchester seeks Trainee Production Operators.Duties may include

  • Dispense materials and operate process equipment in Granulation, Blending, Compression and Coating sections whilst adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
  • Adhere to company policies and practices as laid down and trained and maintain a high standard of cleanliness whilst carrying out procedures.
  • Run all types of compression machines in use in manufacturing department and their specific processes.
  • Granulate from all suites contained in manufacturing department and their specific processes
  • To dispense batch ingredients and facilitate its specific processes
  • Clean intermediate bulk containers (IBC) and complete daily sanitization routine of purified water outlets.
  • Coat tablets to specification and specific processes
  • Work with other process operators as a team to achieve company goal and objectives
  • Comply with standards of quality and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
  • To comply with the safety standards as laid down/trained.
  • To comply with company policies on conduct.
  • To operate equipment efficiently and effectively.
  • Look after company property and to report misuse/damage.
  • Flexible in approach to work
  • To keep accurate, legible records, liaising with the QA team
Skills and experience:
  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing or food production industry would be desirable but other production background would be considered as full training can be provided.
  • Ability and initiative to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good standard of Maths, minimum GCSE Level 3
  • Good standard of English, Minimum GCSE Level 3, both written and verbal, as accurate record keeping, completion of documentation and communication with other department personnell is essential.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
