Every single person, whether theyre a partner, associate, HR practitioner or secretary, is highly skilled and motivated, fully committed, inherently flexible, professional and pragmatic.Our Requirements The ideal candidate must have experience in managing various sizes of trade mark portfolios across a wide range of sectors; filing and prosecuting trade marks in the UK and overseas.We are looking for a trademark attorney who can advise on all aspects of trademark law. Duties include, but are not limited to;

  • Solid on-line research skills and knowledge of on-line trademark search databases.
  • Performing and reviewing trade mark searches and clearance
  • Preparing and supervising domestic and international trade mark filings.
  • Advising clients on the registrability and strength of their marks
  • Reviewing official correspondence from e.g. trade mark offices and reporting to clients with recommendations along with arrangement of invoices
  • Working on trade mark disputes, cancellations action, renewal work and maintenance
  • Knowledge, skills and experience required
  • Excellent academics, legal background and technical legal expertise.
  • Ideally 4 + years of trademark experience, with some flexibility at the lower experience level for the right candidate
  • Significant, relevant private practice or in-house experience
  • Focused on trust, high performance and engagement by establishing clear goals and a commitment to feedback, development and recognition.
  • Superb oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain legal concepts to non-attorneys on a regular basis over the phone and online, providing clear advice in plain English.
  • Computer proficient, with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be willing to take initiative to ensure completion of task.
  • Must be proactive, organised, detail oriented and demonstrate accuracy and consistency.
  • Able to manage high volume, complex projects, meet deadlines, prioritize workload and coordinate multiple parties.
