Andnow we are responsible for regulating UK video sharing platforms and leading the technical work as we gear up to regulate online safety and ensure people can live a safer life online. Were also building a deeper understanding of the roles that cross-cuttingtechnologies such as artificial intelligence and deep learning play across all of our sectors.Within our Technology, Data and Innovation Group, the newly created Technology Policy team seeks to ensure that technology drives Ofcoms approach to policy development and regulation, and that we can bring together technology and policy knowledge and expertiseto deliver a real impact for consumers across the UK. Purpose of the RoleWere seeking someone who can lead our approach to transforming the way the Technology, Data, and Innovation Group fits in with the rest of the organisation and ensures we communicate effectively externally. This role will lead the delivery of our visionto embed technology and data at the forefront of policy making and our strategy for coordinating our engagement with the rest of Ofcom on technology and data issues. It will also coordinate our stakeholder engagement across the group and work closely withOfcoms comms function to ensure our Group vision is communicated effectively internally and externally. You will work alongside two other principals working on a range of technology policy issues in a team of around a dozen.Reporting to the Director of Technology Policy responsibilities for this role include:
