Job Description

Job Title: Analytical Development Team LeaderLocation: North West, United KingdomCompany: A leading global pharmaceutical Contract Research Organization (CRO) which provides analytical services to Biotechnology and pharmaceutical clients is seeking a highly skilled Analytical Development Team Leader to oversee their analyticaldevelopment activities. The Team Leader will have the following responsibilities:Line Management: Lead and mentor a team of analytical chemists, providing direction, guidance, and support to ensure the successful execution of analytical development projects. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment focusedon achieving goals and exceeding expectations.Analytical Development: Take ownership of analytical method development and validation projects, coordinating activities and resources to meet project timelines and objectives. Utilize a variety of analytical techniques, including HPLC, GC,spectroscopy, and dissolution testing, to characterize and assess pharmaceutical drug substances and drug products.Data Review: Conduct thorough review and analysis of analytical data generated by the team, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement, providing constructivefeedback and recommendations to optimize processes and outcomes.Compliance Responsibilities: Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, EMA, ICH) and industry standards throughout the analytical development process. Maintain comprehensive documentation in accordance with Good Laboratory Practice(GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines. Collaborate with quality assurance and regulatory affairs teams to support regulatory submissions and inspections.Team Leader Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated industry experience in analytical method development and validation within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve excellence.
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail, with the ability to critically review data and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards governing analytical development activities.
  • Proficiency in relevant analytical techniques and instrumentation, with the ability to effectively utilize resources to solve complex problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
