Support Workers EducationAre you currently working in a care setting and want to work more in a school or college settingI am currently recruiting support workers to work in colleges with students who need extra help with their studies and/or mobility.These establishments offer a variety of courses including BTECs and vocational qualifications, work experience and basic skills and need a good bank of part time and full time staff to support the students to progress and complete their studies.You will be able to:Support academically with some note taking and reading during coursework.Chaperone/manage movement around either the school or college.Understand the needs of students with additional needs and enable them to reach their potential.It is essential that:You have at least Level 2 in English and Maths.You have an understanding of various additional needs including mobility issues - e.g ASC, ADHD, SEBD, SEMH, lower ability.You have a willingness to support, work as part of a team and be happy to liaise with various departments to ensure the students are receiving the correct support.If this sounds like something of interest, please send me your CV and details of your experience.
