Job Description

Job PurposeMazars Global Audit Service Line has launched a number of strategic projects that will increase Mazars position as a market leader in audit services, globally.We are recruiting a Global Audit Application Assistant Manager for our office in Manchester to join the international Mazars global audit platform team.The wider Mazars global audit platform team is multi-disciplinary, currently comprising of an executive audit Partner, qualified external auditors, service support engineers, project managers and other software development and IT skilled resources basedacross six countries.Your Role & Responsibilities

  • This is an opportunity for an individual with external audit knowledge to join an international team responsible for the design and the development, the roll out and the continued maintenance of an in house designed global external audit software, Web based.The role is non-Business client facing, but Mazars Partner facing with responsibilities including:
  • Liaise with functional experts across the Mazars group organisation to ensure strong compliance and quality are maintained in the core content of the software. Therefore enabling auditors to perform external audits in line with Mazars global audit methodology.This will involve managing various stakeholder expectations and collating data to design the core content of the platform.
  • Manage and execute, with the support of assistants in the wider team, the annual update of the softwares core content. This will include a need for detailed planning involving various stakeholders, internal team members, external parties, and a thoroughprocess of reviews of data entered.
  • Working with Mazars member firms globally (more than 90 countries today) to guide them in the local customisation of the software, enabling them to perform audits in line with Mazars audit methodology whilst at the same time complying with local requirementsof their
  • Monitoring and reporting on Mazars member firms local customisation of the software to ensure compliance with Mazars global audit methodology.
  • Act as an expert advisor on the customisation possibilities of the software and regularly engage with the following teams:
  • The Central Support Team in relation to issue resolution or queries from Mazars member firms;
    • The Central Training Team to ensure the training provided regarding the customisation is accurate, continually up to date and useful for the members firms to be autonomous regarding their local setup; and
    • The Central Development Team to contribute to the continuous design, improvement, and development of the Mazars global external audit
    • This is a Group role based in Manchester (UK) and will require periodic travel, in particular between the Manchester and Paris offices. Mazars operates a hybrid workplace model where employees split their time between their office and remote locations (e.g.Home). Hybrid working means employees can match the task at hand to the location, to deliver the best outcomes for teams and the business.
Your Skills Experience and KnowledgeEssential Skills
  • External audit experience (3 years minimum)/knowledge.
  • Experience using an external audit software.
  • Competent in usage of Excel functionalities.
  • Fluent and clear communication skills in English (both written and verbally).
  • Strong communication skills across a diverse international team.
  • Strong project management skills with proven experience of taking ownership of projects/tasks, managing assigned team members, and working independently.
  • Strong time management skills, respecting deadlines both individually and as a team.
  • Takes responsibility for quality control, specifically around data entry and compliance.
  • Proven experience of managing various stakeholder expectations in an international
  • Proven experience of developing or participating to the development of a Businessaudit or non-audit relatedsoftware
  • Ability to work in an agile manner with team members across different locations and time zones.
  • Comfortable with change and working in a dynamic environment.
Desirable Skills
  • Competent in French and/or Spanish would be beneficial but not essential.
