An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 6 Sister/ Charge nurse to join Elective Treatment Centre for Surgery at the Manchester Royal Infirmary. This is a green shielded ward.ETC Surgery is a 20 bedded multi-specialty elective unit consisting of ENT, maxillofacial, colorectal, HPB and vascular amongst others. The majority of elective cases include major head and neck surgery, flap reconstruction and complex airway management, including tracheostomies. This is a very busy environment with a wide variety of complex clinical cases and as such, the successful candidate must possess excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.The post holder will assess, implement, plan and evaluate the delivery of direct patient care. Their role involves collaboration with the Ward Manager in ensuring delivery of high caliber care, and efficient use of facilities, manpower and other resources.
