Using modern technology, were replacing our legacy applications with a fully responsive checkout and payments solution,enabling us to deliver new features more quickly.What will your role be

  • Work as part of a full stack product team, youll be responsible for building innovative products to ensure we continue to deliver optimal experiences for our guests and owners.
  • Help shape the overall architecture and tech strategy for our Checkouts & Payments platform using the right technology for the task, rather than allowing the technology to dictate the solution.
  • Contribute to driving best engineering practices such as CI/CD, TDD, cloud architectures and pair/mob programming
  • Mentor and grow software engineers (grads, juniors and mid-weight engineers)
  • Be an active member of the engineering and wider tech community within Awaze
What will you offerWere looking for Senior Software Engineer, experienced in various technologies who loves nothing more than solving problems in a collaborative, agile development environment.Youll enjoy working in pairs (maybe sometimes a mob), you thrive in an autonomous product engineering and enjoy working with international teams.A Full Stack Engineer at heart, you will offer experience/knowledge in a mixture of the following (we are not expecting you to know everything):
  • Proficiency in designing and developing scalable, maintainable, performant and resilient application and micro-services
  • Significant experience in TypeScript and NodeJS
  • Developing and deploying AWS services (e.g. EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, S3)
  • Payments | Checkout platforms knowledge
  • Experience developing, securing or operating cloud scale applications or infrastructure as code
  • Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes etc) and passion for improving the way applications are built
  • Experience with modern quality practices, such as pairing, TDD, BDD
