Job Description

Senior Pricing AnalystCentral Manchester - Currently Work from HomeSalary: £45k - £55kFull Time, Permanent Overview:Provision of pricing analysis, modelling results and reporting to internal and external customers. This will be across Motor, Home and Commercial Lines business.Responsibilities:

  • Develop advanced pricing models to meet business requirements
  • Improve the pricing performance by use of optimisation and pricing modelling
  • Research and leverage new and existing data sources; creating innovative data features
  • Implement a wide range of data science and statistical techniques, including Machine Learning to improve the price of insurance
  • Collaborate with peers in pricing and underwriting
  • Communicate results to key decision makers across the business for action based on the results of pricing analysis
  • Using specialist software to monitor trends and review impact of pricing proposals
  • Conduct analysis across a range of markets, including; Private Motor, Commercial Vehicle, Bike, Taxi, and Home
  • Coaching and mentoring team members
  • Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience within general insurance pricing · Experience with some of the following predictive modelling techniques; Logistic Regression, GBMs, Elastic Net GLMs, GAMs, Decision Trees, Random Forests, Neural Nets and Clustering· Experience in programming languages (e.g. R, Python, PySpark, SAS, SQL)· A good quantitative degree in, but not limited to: Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science or Psychology· Experience of WTWs Radar software is preferred, other pricing software to be considered (i.e. Earnix)· Proficient at communicating results in a concise manner both verbally and writtenBehaviours:· Self-motivated with a drive to learn and develop· Logical thinker with a professional and positive attitude · Passion to innovate and improve processes · Personality and a sense of humour
