Job Description

Service Care Solutions are working alongside the Democratic Services Legal Team, part of the shared Legal Service supporting Manchester City Council, Salford City Council and Greater Manchester combined Authority. Who are seeking a locum Senior Lawyer withexpertise in Governance matters.ROLE: Senior Governance Lawyer RATE: £50ph- £60ph BASED: ManchesterOFFICE: Hybrid - 21 hours per week- 5 month on goingThe Role/ Responsibilities

  • Experience and Practised within Local Government Public and Administrative Law - including decision-making within local authorities operating executive arrangements, local authority constitutions and elected member conduct matters.
  • Information Law - including the UK GDPR / Data Protection Act 2018, the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.
The Person
  • The successful candidate must be a fully qualified Solicitor, Barrister or FILEX
  • Previous public sector working experience would be desirable
  • Great communication skills
