What you will do
  • Lead the mechanical design aspect of marine projects, ensuring precision and adherence to client specifications.
  • Draft detailed CAD drawings for fire protection systems tailored to the unique requirements of each project.
  • Develop a variety of drawings, including mechanical and electrical layouts, schematics, P&IDs, Equipment Datasheets, and Hydraulic Calculations.
  • Interpret and apply Approval Authority rules and Regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager, offering valuable design and CAD support.
What we look forEssential
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and the internal project team.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Hydraulic Calculation package (FireCAD).
  • Ability to interpret clients technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office packages.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Willingness to obtain SC UK MOD Security clearance.
Preferred
  • HNC/HND in Engineering (Engineering Background).
  • Experience in the Marine Industry.
  • Previous involvement in MoD contracts.
  • Background in the Fire Protection or Fire Detection industry.
