Anew role has been created for a Senior Finance Business Partner working as part of theFinance Business Partnering (FBP) team responsible for supporting the portfoliobusinesses through the provision of financial information, tools, performance analysis and insight.This role includes providing value, adding insight and credible challenge to the numbers to help make more informed decisions in relation to business strategy and planning.Responsibilities includes providing real time support and analysis, being a trustedadviser and adding value that will assist in decision making. Critical to the success of the job holder is the ability to communicate their message, to understand their audience and deliver the information in a clear manner.This role is based in the Manchester area although we offer hybrid working arrangementsKey Accountabilities: Business Partnering - support, liaison, conduit, and influencer to the seniorleadership team for the businesses you support Act as the translator between Finance and the PortfolioBusinesses providing advice and guidance to a wide range ofaudiences assisting them in understanding complex financialinformation Develop and maintain effective working relationships between theSSC and the portfolio businesses Provide insight for better decision making and control Frequently meet with Portfolio Businesses to assist in explaining the financial information, building of budgets and forecasts, and assisting with commercial decisions Budgeting and forecasting Responsible for the delivery of the annual budget process andmonthly forecasting within ClearCourse for the businesses youwork with Complete robust forecasts, evidence-based plans and accuratebudgets Attend monthly forecasting meetings with different business unitsand be responsible for delivering analysis for the Board to reviewresults and monitor financial performance Support the Portfolio Businesses at business reviews/budget &forecast reviews as Finance lead Where necessary, challenge portfolio / divisional level forecasts toensure evidence-based plans and accurate budgets Drive Finance transformation in the business partner and FP&Afunction Development of reporting and analysis tools and processesRequirementsRequired skills, experience, and attributes: Advanced problem-solving abilities to find the root cause of issues raised Strategic thinker who can influence management thinking and enforcechange Data driven with an analytical mindset Understands the pressure of month end and the need to resolve issuesquickly Acts with the highest levels of integrity and treats others with respectPerformance Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative Is engaged and demonstrates alignment with the organizations objectivesand values Keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data Customer focused and target driven Forward thinking, with a can do attitude A high level of focus on the achievement of targeted results A high level of flexibility and a positive attitude to innovation and changeInterpersonal Skills Ability to present information to management and in a clear and concisemanner Excellent analytical and communication skills - a problem solver, who canunderstand and communicate complex issues.
