Senior Data and Insight AnalystManchester/Remote£35K-£45KA Senior Data and Insight Analyst is required for our client based in Manchester. Working in the clients Data, Research and Insight team, you will provide high quality, timely and accurate data and analysis to inform policy, process and operational improvementsboth within the organisation and for a variety of key stakeholders across the UK.Main responsibilitiesTo undertake the role of Senior Data and Insight Analyst, managing escalation of challenges within your specialist area from analysts and managers.To produce high-quality professional reports, visualisations and dashboards, taking account of the customers needs and the user experience. This includes a range of products from basic data tables in Excel and PDF to sophisticated data visualisations, usingsoftware such as Tableau and Power BI. This will occasionally include short written pieces.Produce ad hoc statistical reports and data for internal and external stakeholdersProvide professional specialist guidance to the data teams and directorates on the management and use of specialist techniques in your areaTo apply the relevant management systems, procedures and policies relating to risk management, health and safety, information security and business continuity.To maintain and improve data quality, processes for data storage and retrieval and adhere at all times to information governance and data protection policies.Knowledge and skillsExcellent analytic skills evidenced by a relevant qualification and/or significant experience using these skills in a pressurised professional environment.Experience of analytical software or tools, such as advanced Excel is essential.Experience of, SQL, SPSS, R, Stata and/or data visualisation software such as Power BI or Tableau is desirable. Or a proven ability to learn complex software packages.The ability to design and deliver information products (from basic data tables to sophisticated visualisations)Effective user of MS Office for analysis, presentations, and report writing purposes.
