We are looking to add a Senior Cost Engineer to our PMO & Project Controls Consultancy team to act as the first point of contact for all Cost Engineering activities. Utilising your knowledge and expertise in the Cost Engineering discipline you will be responsiblefor providing Project Control solutions and services to our clients. You will also be a key contributor to improving processes, procedures and tools utilised by the function. As a Senior Cost Engineer, you are required to be commercially focused, confidentin running your own project as well as working effectively within a team. You will be joining a growing consultancy team working on a variety of contracts within multiple sectors. You will be required to undertake short-term or long-term commissions to addressa variety of customer needs. Candidates with a track record of cost management at pre and post contract; working on contracts through the development cycle to the delivery through the construction phase would be preferred. The successful candidate will workclosely with Planning Engineers to ensure the integration of costs and planning artefacts on contracts whilst reporting to the Manager of Cost Engineering. Responsible for the monthly production of a monthly PMR reporting on profit, loss, project performance and health of the project. Engaging with key Project Stakeholders Establishing friendly, professional and appropriate relationships with clients, colleagues and other parties involved in the projects and programmes we support Administering a variety of contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies Providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget Managing and maintaining Cost Control and Forecasting on a range of projects Ensuring the basis of Estimates at Completion (EAC) is predicted using industry recognised approaches, including but not limited to, the latest resourced schedule and EVM productivity as to ensure accurate, reliable and consistent forecasting; Preparation of monthly and weekly cost and resource reports Man-hour reporting Preparing independent risk analyses of cost reports and cashflows Producing Application for Payments to the Client Providing an integrated, timely and reliable Cost Reporting service to both internal and external stakeholders; Change management Collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering Closing out contractsIdeally, has a recognised Project Controls qualification or is a part qualified accountant or solid experience in Project Controls/Cost Engineering.Strong communications skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels, particularly with Client Representatives;Significant commercial awarenessAble to demonstrate expertise of Excel and should have had exposure to various bespoke cost management software systemsPrimavera P6 experience is preferredExperience with Business Intelligence Software (such as Power BI) preferred but not essential.Can work to tight timescales and works well under pressure
