We are now looking for an Sea freight Import/Export Operations Clerk for a global freight forwarder based in Wythenshawe, Manchester.Dealing with all aspects of Sea freight forwarding, being an effective contributor and leader of the operation within the branch is key to this freight forwarding role.Your role will involve...Handling all aspects of International Sea freight Freight forwarding movements Imports and exports by Sea freight Liasing with customers and suppliers to ensure all needs are met within the specified delivery time, creating customs declarations in line with HMRC and current legislation, ensuring COD payments are collected prior to movement of goods, liasing with overseas offices for shipment movements, taking responsibility for monitoring progress and keeping the customer advised of the status. Providing lead information to other offices in the UK where relevantIn order to apply for this role, you will have experience in Sea Freight Forwarding with current hands-on experience in Sea imports and exportsEducated to GCSE standard, with the ability and confidence to deal with difficult customers if the need arises and the ability to consistently meet deadlines in a timely mannerYou will be very customer focused and have excellent customer service skills to apply for this role along with good administration skills.
