Our client is a well-established Freight Forwarding and Logistics specialist with offices throughout the UK We are now looking for an Sea Freight Operations Clerk to join the team at their Freight Forwarding team at their Manchester office in Trafford Park. This is for a newly created role within the branch and is due to expansion In the main the successful sea freight candidate would be working on sea freight teams but any air export/Imports experience would also be advantageous.Your role will involve* Speaking to customers/agents on a daily basis.* Answering Overseas agent e-mails.* Booking of sea freight consignments with the carriers - import and export* Collection / delivery of goods from / to customers* Completing of sea freight forwarding documentation * Completion of customs requirements, pre-alerts, etc* Invoicing - sales and purchases.* Any other duties commensurate with the position.In order to apply you will have* Experience in sea freight Industry * Any air freight experience would be advantageous * Must be able to complete / understand intricacies of sea freight. FCL and LCL* Imports and exports experience * Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Package - Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.Salary and Benefits * Salary £25,000 to £30,000 Circa / Flexible * Starting with 22 days holiday, plus all bank holidays.* Hours:0900-17:30 with an hour for lunch * 2x salary life insurance * 5% Employee Contributory pension scheme * Opportunities for career progression
