Job Description

Exciting new Scientific Director role in an ever expanding medical communication agencyScientific Director - Medical CommunicationsYour new company:We are working with a rapidly growing global medical communications agency that are looking to acquire a range of talent to join their team. They specialise in a variety of therapy areas, ranging from Alzheimers to Immunology, so would be an amazing opportunityfor someone really looking to further their career within Med Comms.Your new role:As a Scientific Director, you will be responsible to oversee assigned accounts from a, scientific/editorial leadership perspective, ensuring strategic and tactical initiatives are implemented to the highest standardSome of your day-to-day activities will consist of:- Provide leadership level scientific, strategic and commercial expertise across the business- Review, proofread and data check scientific materials over a full range of deliverables and target audiences, to the highest level of accuracy and completeness- Act as a therapy area expert for both clients and internal personnel; provide scientific and strategic input wherever needed- Act as an internal expert regarding matters of compliance and industry guidelines- Line manage other team members; carry out objective setting and performance appraisals, ensure individual objectives are achieved, and address performance issues proactively and effectivelyWhat youll need to succeed:What the perfect candidate needs to have:- Life Sciences degree in Pharmacology/Pharmacy, Medicine or Biomedical Sciences (MSc/PhD desired)- Previous Agency experience as a medical writer (8 years+)- Previous line management experience- Previous academic or pharmaceutical writing experience What youll get in return:Due to the current shortage of well publicised talent within this market, they are willing to offer the perfect candidate a very competitive salary, alongside a very flexible working patternOther perks of working for this agency are, due to their rapid rate of expansion, their constant look out for new talent to join their team allowing their employees to have a clear progression path without need of a vacancy to become available for you to bepromoted.What you need to do now:If youre interested in this role, click apply now to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now on .
