Job Description

Sales Manager - Managing a team of 4 mid-level sales executives, driving performance, and leading by example.A brilliant opportunity for a hands-on man manager who can coach, train, mentor and deliver results through the team.Negotiable salary for the right person but looking at a £45,000 - £55,000 basic salary plus on target earnings ( & Company car etc)Start Feb - March 2024This excellent SME manufacturing busses with sustainability and brilliant core values running through its history needs to go to that next level. Work with the National Sales Manager to grow and develop the revenue and profit through motivational leadershipand driving results through people.This no-frills business has a market leading upcycled product - it has fantastic supply chain operations and some super long-standing customers already. Now we need you to help take them to the next level!MANCHESTER - Manufacturing - Environment - Upcycled - Sustainability - Team - Culture - Sales - Growth - OpportunityThe role and the candidate: 60% office based 40% Customer Appointments (mentoring and supporting the team)

  • You must have a strong personality, empathy, and brilliant communication skills
  • You will have managed a Business-to-business sales team previously and be able to talk through performance coaching and development
  • You will be able to drive results through a team
  • You will hold sales people accountable, manage closely but not micro manage and asses the current team skill sets
  • There may be some recruitment required but the leadership team (which you will be a part of) will want your feedback and insight
  • You will have excellent influence
  • You will be commercially aware and have a business mind - be in it for the long haul and NOT corporate
  • There are 6 main verticals this super SME sell into, and they had a boom in the pandemic - they are in a holding position ready to take off in 2024.
Your background:
  • B2b sales management is essential
  • Working previously and successfully in a similar role in an sme is essential
  • Commutable to the office near Swinton, Manchester
  • Happy getting stuck in, down to earth, team player who thrives in an SME environment
  • Technical sales engineering or manufacturing - any synergy with these areas would be a bonus but not essential (personality and management sales suitability trumps sector)
  • Good stability in at east 1 role that is comparable to this role.
  • 6 pts or less on your driving licence
  • 1 month or less notice period
  • 2 strong references from similar roles.
