Freight Account Manager role - homeworking. Job summaryOur Freight Forwarding client are seeking an experienced Freight Sales Account Manager within the logistic sector. The successful applicant will be required to create and execute a sales plan that will actively bring aboard new customers. As a Freight Account Manager you will be directly responsible for managing your accounts, ensuring that first class service and communication is maintained throughout the supply chain. Our client are looking for talented individuals who are looking to make this position their own, who values productivity and customer engagement and is ready to grow with the business as it evolves.This role is predominantly working from home with occasional need for business meetings both internally and externally.Responsibilities and Duties :- Create a portfolio of customers through sales channels.- Quote customers using existing and/or newly introduced suppliers dependent on route and mode - Following up bookings with relevant suppliers.- Maintain bookings within the freight software system.- Maintain excellent communication with customers.- Ensure paperwork is compliant to guarantee a smooth forwarding process.- Negotiate and arrange haulier delivery.- Invoicing customers and passing supplier invoices.- Creating, maintaining, and developing relationships with customers and suppliers and maintaining active records of this within our system.- Produce and complete a sales plan to bring onboard new customers, this will include sales visits and cold calling.Qualifications and Skills Required- Freight Forwarding experience - sales and operational background essential.- Good level of customs knowledge.- Good understanding of supply chain logistics (end to end).- Must be an excellent communicator who thrives on customer satisfaction and working to your own initiative.- Must have an excellent grasp of Microsoft Office programs.- Customer focused with good people skills and the ability to form good business relationships.- Competitive, results driven, highly motivated and hungry to win business.
