Our client who are a UK and Globol Logistics business are looking for a new Business Development Manager / Sales Executive based in the North WestResponsible for :- Generating new leads and capturing them on the internal CRM system - Driving growth of the business through new customers and enhanced offerings from existing customers- Negotiating contracts with prospective customers - Giving sales presentations to a range of customers- Visiting customer/potential customers to promote the company services - Coordinating sales efforts with marketing campaigns - Understanding and promoting the company strategy - Build and maintain strong and long-lasting relationships with specified customer(s) and suppliers- Effectively communicate with potential new customers to drive both continued revenue, profit growth and increased engagement- Working closely and collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and KPI adherence- Sourcing and sending overseas sales leads to Amco agents and their partners within networks - Developing a deep understanding of the customers business including group and extended opportunities, competitive influences on the business, networking - Sourcing opportunities and customer competitors where our client could seize a marketing opportunity- Ensuring customers are aware of the latest company solutions to drive efficiencies, grow the business and maximise potential- Identifying cross-functional service/product opportunitiesOverall Purpose / Scope of Position - Exceed revenue and profit targets - Win new accounts- Driving growth and development of the business through marketing and supporting the BDM Department- Forward planning for future requirements- Review and develop processes to help standardise, minimise waste and increase efficiency - Manage a seamless transfer of new accounts into the business via close working relationships with the BD team- Take a proactive approach in reducing costs and improving efficiency - Keeping direct manager and the business well informed Key Result Areas - Meet and exceed revenue and profit targets - Achievement of new account plans- To drive continued and sustainable growth through developing and growing new accounts and maintaining strong relationships, specifically: - Co-ordinating the different stakeholders and being the main point of contact;- Creating reports for internal and external top management;- Regularly meeting with customers and internal stakeholders to review and improve our operations.- New business wins- Generation of external sales leads - Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm, plus any reasonable requirements associated with the position. - May include requirements to travel in the UK and abroadJOB REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIESExperience - Demonstrable achievements in a similar role within the logistics market, freight forwarding specifically and in international sales.- Proven record of achieving revenue and profit targets- Proven ability of generating new business opportunities within the logistics market place through increased engagement and identifying opportunities- Experience of working within a fast paced, high growth logistics environment- New business success- Experience of working remotely and having regional growth responsibilities Job Skills - Excellent negotiating skills- A dynamic, pro-active approach to working with customers, quickly addressing their needs and ensuring any issues and challenges are resolved swiftly- A proven ability to put the customers requirements at the heart of what we do, striving to deliver high quality customer service at all times- Strong understanding of B2B and working collaboratively across functions to achieve success- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of organisations- Track record of managing multiple commercial processes (budgets, contract renegotiation, KPI measurement), forecasting precisely, and identifying the solutions we can offer resulting in a positive commercial outcome for Amco and customers- Full Clean Driving LicensePersonal Competencies- Must have a Can Do Attitude and a desire to improve- Must be self-motivated- Be a finisher- Must be able to resolve and prioritise conflicting requirements - Able to identify improvements and see those improvements though to implementation- Customer and service focused- Willingness to take charge and resolve issues- Must be determined, keen to learn and develop- Excellent verbal and written communications skills- Excellent presentation skills
