Job Description

Reward ManagerThe HR department is responsible for the provision of a full range of HR services to the Firm (c. 900 UK staff), including recruitment and resourcing, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations, staff welfare, advice on employment law issues, compliance with Law Society/statutory obligations, diversity and inclusion, performance/salary review arrangements and maintenance of e-personnel records. The job holder will report to the Head of HR and manage a small Reward & Payroll Team.This role is to be based either in the London or Manchester office.Reward

  • Work with the Head of HR and HR Director to scope, design and implement the firms employee reward strategy.
  • Manage and deliver compensation projects and employee incentive plans.
  • Project manage the annual salary review process for the UK firm, including production of Business Unit related reports and processing of increases.
  • Benchmarking of our UK salaries and making recommendations to the Head of HR
  • Responsible for the management, calculation, development and handling of queries of bonus scheme.
  • Modelling, supporting on budgets split and pay stance.
  • Benefits
  • Responsible for annual renewal, broking, benchmarking, system development and system management of all UK and US benefits.
  • Responsibility for UK pension governance, regulation adherence (e.g. re-enrolment), legacy schemes and bespoke queries.
  • Manage the annual flexible benefits firm-wide renewal process including data checking and cleansing, site testing and content amendment, communications to all staff.
  • Work with our flexible benefits provider on enhancements to our on-line portal/end-user experience.
  • Manage the relationships with our benefits broker and corporate discount providers including vendor negotiation
  • Produce monthly provider reports for key benefits offerings.
  • Ensure we meet our obligations in relation to current and forthcoming legislation affecting benefits provision.
  • Design and management of Wellbeing Week and firm-wide wellbeing challenges.
  • Managing the Employee Award scheme
  • Working with Head of HR and Head of Diversity and Inclusion to gather data on gender pay gap, analyse and report production.
  • Budget management
  • Payroll
  • Oversight of the UK Payroll including monthly sign off, annual sign off, P11D, ad hoc changes and bespoke issues.
  • US Payroll including sign off, adhoc changes, employee queries and bespoke issues.
  • Support the Payroll Advisor in the management of the firms relationship with our external payroll bureau
  • Approving invoices and budget monitoring.
  • Own and manage benefit system provided by AON and payroll provided by sd worx.
  • Work with Organisational Development and SAG consultants on L360 payroll.
  • Vendor Management: including relationship building, contract negotiation, disputes, enhancement work
  • Experience/Skills Required
  • Proven experience at a similar level within a firm of at least 500 employees (Partnership experience an advantage).
  • Experience in owning and delivering annual compensation reviews.
  • Hands-on experience of managing a Flexible Benefits platform .
  • Excellent vendor management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with good communication and advanced analytical skills.
  • Experience of managing and motivating a small team.
  • Solutions focused approach to process improvement and innovation in relation to reward.
