Job Description

About AwazeWe’re the European leader for holiday rentals, operating across multiple brands and high-volume websites including cottages.com, hoseasons.co.uk and novasol.com, taking more than 8 million holidaymakers away each year. The staycation market is booming, and our revenue management strategy has never been more important. We’ve had some good results, but we know we can be better and we’re actively growing our revenue management team. We’ve got a number of long-established brands with a loyal customer base, supported by significant investment from our owner, Platinum Equity. We’ve recently invested in a brand new base in Central Manchester, which will form our Technology and Commercial hub.The RoleIn this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing effective inventory and pricing strategies, taking into account factors such as demand, market trends and competitor analysis, in order to enhance our market share and maximise revenues for our portfolio of owners. We’ve got industry leading revenue management technology, and you’ll assist in its management by monitoring daily recommendations and making commercially astute decisions, overriding these where necessary to deliver optimised revenue in line with strategic business imperatives. What you’ll be doingWe’re not looking for someone who just wants to crunch the numbers; this role is about identifying commercial initiatives and opportunities which will provide our owners with enhanced revenue. You’ll be proactive, finding efficiencies and more effective ways of working, whilst working on pricing, yield management and profitability. You’ll act as a pricing guardian, taking responsibility of our dynamic pricing technology and forming strong commercial relationships with our property owners. You must be a comfortable communicator, as you’ll be communicating trading and revenue positioning to key stakeholders across a range of mediums. You’ll be responsible for analysis and reporting, but will turn this information into a story, factoring in external influences such as regional events, economic considerations etc. You’ll assist in financial and budget tracking, as well as supporting our wider teams with making commercial decisions. You’ll use date to maximise the update of additional products and services during the booking process.Key skills we needYou’d be one of the founding members of our Manchester team, so we need a Revenue Analyst who is highly motivated, with a "can" and "will" do approach to their work. Here’s what else you need to be a success:- Intermediate to expert level Excel knowledge- The ability to interrogate large amounts of data to draw meaningful conclusions to assist wider business decision making- Adaptability, with the ability to react quickly to changes in demand and fluctuating market conditions- Comfortable working at pace and under pressure- Able to meet deadlines and prioritise your own workload- Analytical skills and a "problem solving" attitudeEqually as important as all the technical "stuff", we’re looking for someone who is hungry to learn and develop. We don’t believe in standing still (we work in travel, after all), but instead think that everyone should be learning, all the time. Whether it’s a new technology, an industry event or a mentoring opportunity, we want someone who loves what they do, and who is eager to progress. If you’re excited by working in a fast-paced environment, are obsessed by all things revenue management and want to be part of joining us at a genuinely exciting time, we’d love to chat. What we’ll give you- You’ll be supported by a team of genuine revenue enthusiasts, who have a passion for what they do- We work cross-functionally, so you’ll be given opportunities to develop skills outside of your core skillset.- We’re investing heavily in our Tech and Commercial teams and have big plans for the next few years, so progression opportunities are almost certain. We offer a competitive salary and great benefits; we’re all about holidays, so we practise what we preach and offer some great travel discounts. We offer flexible working hours and remote working, too. We’d also offer you private medical and life assurance - of course we hope you won’t need these, but we want to offer you security. We are an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity and inclusion. We do not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, age, sexual orientation, colour, religion, disability status or marital status. Required skills
