Job Description

OverviewBrand new and exclusive opportunity for an Account Manager with experience in retail to join an exciting, fast growth b2b and b2c health and supplement business based in Manchester.The company is in the health and wellness space, with products sold directly to consumer through a variety of e-commerce platforms, as well as via household name retail partners both online and in-store, globally.In their fifth year of trading, the company is growing from strength to strength in both team size and numbers, which is why the Account Manager is such an important role for the business.This is a fantastic opportunity to progress your career within an ambitious company!The RoleThe Account Manager will manage existing and open new retail, distributor and wholesaler accounts, working with household names such as Boots, Superdrug and Holland and Barrett.Responsibilities:

  • Strategically manage, and build strong relationships with all current retailers, including Holland & Barrett, Boots, and multiple others, to ensure we reach our KPIs across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Opening new accounts with retailers worldwide and managing the strategy and onboarding process with them.
  • Working with our logistics team to ensure deliveries are made on time, and to manage all account administration, including reporting, as well as document management.
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies for retail markets and identify opportunities for growth to take initiative on.
  • Ensuring our processes with retailers are as efficient as possible, and work on ways to grow the brand with retailers.
  • Preparing and executing any NPD launches with retailers and onboarding those products efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor our account performance with our retailers, wholesalers and distributors, and review competitors and market trends regularly to understand best practices and new opportunities.
  • Work closely with the marketing and branding team to ensure our accounts are all up to date across our retailers and ensure the brand is continuously represented correctly.
Requirements
  • Solid understanding of different retailers globally; must have a thorough understanding of retailer best practise and relationship management, onboarding new products and trends that allow brands to grow with retailers.
  • Desire to learn along with professional drive and willing to use your own initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient in software such as Excel, Powerpoint, Email software etc.
  • Passion for working with different retailers, distributors and retailers
  • Punctual, efficient and confident
  • An ambitious individual who is driven to achieve successful results
  • Ability to make efficient use of resources
  • Excellent people skills to be able to adapt to all types of requests, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with key people, stakeholders, and organisations
  • Pays close attention to detail
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong knowledge of the inner workings of major retailers, and have robust intellectual curiosity
  • Flexibility to work on a variety of projects and multi-task effectively
  • A creative mind with good critical thinking skills, as well as an analytical problem-solver
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience in account management in the retail space
  • Experience with a direct to consumer brand
  • Has preferably worked with large retailers such as Holland & Barrett and Boots
Location: Manchester Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum plus bonusBenefits
