Job Description

Relationship Manager - Asset Finance (Transport, Industrial & Construction)North of England (ideally Manchester/Sheffield/Leeds based)£55,000-£58,000 + bonus + benefitsWe are currently handling a superb opportunity for a well established Asset Finance provider for an experienced individual to join them as a Relationship Manager within the Transport, Industrial & Construction division. The role will focus on building and maintaining successful relationships with vendors, dealers and broker partners. This is a field based role covering the North of England.Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining new and existing relationships and business volume with vendors, dealers, brokers and partners
  • Promoting and selling point of sale services
  • Making customer visits and telephone calls to end user customers to discuss financing requirements and close the sale of the financing of the equipment
  • Managing and selling pricing policy, and negotiating on rate with allocated vendor accounts
  • Carrying out regular reviews on vendor accounts
  • Acting promptly upon proposals and submitting them with considered and strong commercial support
  • Managing risk declines and acting as a contact for appealing decisions
  • Achieving personal and team volume, income and margin targets and other objectives as required, including the obtaining of new vendor accounts
  • Converting vendor/dealer/broker partners to using POS systems where possible
  • Ensuring that adequate processed and procedures are in place to minimise risk
  • Preparing and submitting residual value applications for approval
  • Assisting in the evaluation of new documentation and provide drafting comments
  • Working with internal staff to ensure that monthly reports are completed
  • Overseeing pipeline and pricing requirements
  • Preparing programme summaries and annual credit and documentation reviews
  • Updating CRM tools
  • To be considered for this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate:
  • At least five years experience in a Sales/Account Management role within the Leasing/Finance industry
  • Vendor experience is ESSENTIAL
  • Knowledge and experience in Construction, Transportation, Materials Handling and Engineering industries would be highly advantageous
  • Strong understanding of the financial service requirements to support dealer/distributor customers
  • The ability to present, negotiate and build relationships
  • High level of self motivation, the ability to prioritise, and the tenacity to achieve target objectives
  • Good credit skills to present deals and challenge referrals and declines
  • Ability to use a financial calculator or tool efficiently
  • Ideally based in Manchester, Leeds or Sheffield to cover the North of England
