Job Description

Quantity Surveyor, North West, £55k-£60K, + BonusDo you have a passion for construction and a keen eye for detail Are you a skilled communicator and problem-solver with a strong commercial mind If so, then this exciting Quantity Surveyor role could be perfect for you!About the CompanyMy Client, a leading national business in their niche in the Construction Industry, is looking for a highly commercial Quantity Surveyor, based full time (with flexibility) at their office in the North West, in between Liverpool and Manchester.This newly created position offers the potential to grow within the company, as it continues its impressive growth trajectory.About the RoleIn this crucial role, youll play a vital part in ensuring the profitability of their construction projects.Youll be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Cost Management: Youll estimate, forecast and monitor project costs throughout the entire construction lifecycle.
  • Contract Administration: Youll ensure we comply with contracts and handle variations and claims.
  • Commercial Reporting: Youll generate reports to keep stakeholders informed of project progress and finances.
  • Collaboration: Youll work closely with various teams, including engineering, construction, and sales, to ensure project success.
Youll be a great fit for this role if you have:
  • A degree in Commercial Management, Project Management, or Quantity Surveying
  • 3-5 years experience as a QS in construction or civil engineering in a UK business
  • Experience with temporary works and/or the hire business (a plus) in the UK
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in construction software and MS Office suite
