Job Description

THE COMPANYAn online homeware brand is looking hire a QA Technologist / Product Technologist to work on their electrical / anything with a plug or battery-pack range. Their products are sold on their own direct to consumer websites, online marketplaces, and in storesaround the UK. Their offices are in Greater Manchester, commutable by car from Blackburn / Bolton/ Burnley / Bury / Leigh / Ormskirk / Preston / Southport / St Helens / Warrington / Manchester / Wigan and surrounding areas.THE ROLE

  • As Product Technologist you will be responsible for ensuring legal, safe, and fit for purpose products are available for customers, with the aim of reducing customer complaints, faulty returns, and negative customer reviews
  • Approve samples, packaging, copy, instruction manuals and relevant documentation in line with the critical path, meeting agreed timescales to deliver products for sale.
  • Organise in line and pre shipment inspections
  • Coordinate with testing houses and suppliers ensure your products are meeting standards complying with legislation in the UK
  • Requesting, checking, and filing test reports from manufacturers
  • Analyse returns and agree corrective action plans/improvements
  • Provide technical advice to buying and customer service teams
ABOUT YOUTo be successful in this role you will need some demonstrable experience of working in a QA / Product technologist role, ideally with experience in lighting / electrical / small domestic appliances or anything else with a plug or batteries! You may alreadybe working as a QA Technologist / Product Technologist or be working as a Junior/Trainee and be looking to take the next step in your career.THE REWARDThe company is refreshingly non-corporate.
