Product Development Engineer - Formwork & Falsework Job Title: Product Development Engineer - Formwork & Falsework / Mechanical EngineeringIndustry Sector: Mechanical Engineers, Product Development Engineer, Product Development & Quality Engineer, Product Development, Fabrication, AutoCAD, Formwork, Falsework, Concrete Structures, Concrete Reinforcement, Ground Engineering, Support Equipment, Support Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Civil’sBased either: Manchester OR BurtonRemuneration: £50,000 + profit related bonus and comprehensive benefits packageThe role of the Product Development Engineer - Formwork & Falsework / Mechanical Engineering will involve:

  • Production of engineering manufacturing drawing to ensure good quality, safe, robust and economical products
  • Producing mechanical engineering calculation to structurally prove the development using first principles and analysis software packages
  • To improve existing products by developing different components
  • Ensure all quality assurance procedures to ensure high standards when manufacturing / maintaining products
  • Develop product prototypes and follow up with existing clients to test / evaluate
  • Working closely with the design technical team as well as the sales and operation functions
  • Will be required to manage CAD documents and fabrication library
  • Assisting the design technical team with data interpretation / method approvals
  • Load testing of new products to determined SWL
    • The ideal applicant will be Product Development Engineer - Formwork & Falsework / Mechanical Engineering with:
  • Must have extensive product development, mechanical engineering and fabrication experience within the construction sector
  • Must have a degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent qualifications
  • Must have knowledge of BS & EN design code requirements for structural design
  • Must have sound fabrication knowledge
  • Must have AutoCAD experience and Investor
  • Ideally come from a Formwork & Falsework product background however no essential
