People Operations Assistant - Benefits for Ofcom

Job Description

To administer all aspects of the employee benefits provision, including pay and bonus review.As part of the People & Transformation Operations team, this role plays a key part of delivering a high-quality customer service mindset to the provision of benefits administration, supplier management and colleague query management.This is a new, stand alone, role which gives an exciting opportunity for someone to help create and deliver a high quality benefits administration service to the business.Key Responsibilites:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day administration of all employee benefits
  • Administer, with the Head of People Operations and People Operations Manager the annual pay and bonus review
  • Support Head of Operations with annual benefits renewal processes
  • Support People Operations Manager with annual colleague benefits selection
  • Work closely with People Systems team on systems and data
  • Own process maps for benefits administration, designing and amending as necessary and ensuring they are always up to date and available
  • Provide reports and data when required
  • Provide recommendations to Head of People Operations on benefits offering and service
  • From time-to-time support colleagues working on overlapping provision including wellbeing and reward strategy implementation
  • Support Head of Operations on supplier management, including benefits providers, broker relationship and system provider
  • Be known as the subject matter expert on all things benefits, acting as first responder to queries (from the business and from the P&T team), escalating where necessary
Essential Skills
  • Strong understanding of the administration of employee benefits
  • Strong systems capability, with the ability to learn quickly and adapt.
  • Attitude of continuous improvement, supportive and welcoming of change
  • Desire and ability to deliver a high quality service
  • Understanding of payroll, tax and National Insurance where it relates to benefits
  • Excel skills at intermediate level
Desirable Skills
  • Experience of Workday and ServiceNow an advantage
