Job Description

People Advisor 4 month FTC Manchester city centre 26k - 28k depending on experienceWalters People have partnered with a global investment firm to recruit an experienced People Advisor to join their business initially for a 4 month FTC.This role will be providing efficient, generalist Advisory Support. You will work as part of the Advisor team, reporting into the Business Partner for the dedicated service line which covers a number of our core sectors including Valuations, Office Agency,IP, Retail, I&L and Property management.Duties of the People Advisor will include:

  • Provide day to day People support to employees and managers.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with employees of all levels.
  • Support and provide guidance to line managers and employees on policies and procedures. Processing leaver information, including organising and carrying out exit interviews.
  • Maintaining the data in myHR (Peoplesoft) and undertaking any data validation for the Service Lines.
  • Conduct progress discussions with new starters.
  • Carry out maternity/paternity leave administration including meetings, risk assessments and flexible working requests.
  • Provide support to Business Partner for annual People processes, such as, promotions, appraisals and other project work.
  • Support the preparation of monthly reports for the service line Operations and Executive Boards.

  • Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, MS Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience of HR databases (preferably Peoplesoft) but this is not essential as training will be given.
  • A good standard of education - Degree or equivalent
