Job Description

This role requires a Payroll Specialist who has experience in full cycle payroll and manual calculations. The successful candidate will have the ability to contribute significantly to the team in Manchester.Client DetailsThis reputable organisation is a leader in the technology sector.   • Accurately processing payroll for employees
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee queries
  • Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and reporting requirements
  • Collaborating with HR and Accounting departments to ensure smooth operation
  • Maintaining confidentiality and security of employee information
  • Updating payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title or department/division transfers
  • Re-checking payroll calculations manually
  • Providing payroll information by answering questions and requests
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies
ProfileA successful Payroll Specialist should have:
  • Previous payroll experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office and payroll software, ideally Oracle
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
  • Strong ethics, with the ability to manage confidential data
  • Excellent communication skills
