Job Description

Overview: Brand new opportunity for a strategic, passionate Paid Search Specialist with experience managing people, to join an award winning digital agency, in a fully remote role!As a pivotal middle manager within the marketing department, this role will facilitate the smooth operation of the team, ensure high-quality client service, and contribute to the growth of the agency,The Role: Reporting to the down to earth (and lovely!) Marketing Director, the Paid Search Specialist will manage a team of two. The role will be responsible for:

  • Strategic Oversight:
    • Lead the PPC department, taking a strategic and high-level approach to ensure the achievement of target KPIs and performance objectives.
    • Stay informed about emerging trends and market conditions within the PPC landscape and implement strategies to harness opportunities and mitigate threats.
  • Client Relationships and Communication:
    • Act as the main point of contact for key PPC clients, leading client meetings and discussions.
    • Ensure smooth and consistent client operations, including timely production and delivery of monthly reports.
    • Govern contract end dates, initiating renewal proposals 6-8 weeks before contract expiration.
    • Support new business initiatives by collaborating with senior leadership to respond to client proposals.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration:
    • Serve as the conduit between departments, ensuring effective cross-channel strategies and seamless customer journeys.
    • Communicate and escalate team requirements and queries to relevant department leads, fostering collaboration and alignment.
  • Team Development:
    • Assist in training and development initiatives for the PPC team, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
    • Lead training sessions and workshops as needed, ensuring team members are equipped with the latest skills and knowledge.
    • Organise and oversee internal workshops and training sessions, ensuring the team is up-to-date with industry changes and equipped with the latest tools and knowledge.
  • Performance Reporting and Meetings:
    • Prepare and present comprehensive department reports in bi-weekly meetings with senior leadership, sharing insights, risks, opportunities, and general performance.
    • Engage in discussions to address client priorities, department progress, and seek support and guidance when needed.
  • Team Management:
    • Manage team schedules and work allocation, addressing gaps, overages, and unblocking team members as necessary.
    • Assist in conducting team member appraisals, leveraging your close involvement to provide meaningful feedback and growth suggestions.
    • Play a pivotal role in creating and maintaining a high-performing and motivated team environment.
  • Agency Success:
    • Demonstrate a proactive attitude by going above and beyond, engaging in tasks that contribute to the department and agency’s success.
    • Collaborate on agency-wide initiatives and embrace responsibilities that enhance the overall agency environment.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in PPC management with a deep understanding of PPC strategies and tactics.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in PPC platforms (Google Ads, Bing Ads) and analytics tools.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with emerging trends, tools, and industry best practices in PPC.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Flexibility to provide hands-on support during peak periods or leave coverage
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum Location: UK remote (ideally being based in the North West but we are open) Benefits
