Job Description

One of Europes leading independent ophthalmic organisations is seeking a National Account Manager to lead their established and emerging trading partners within national optometry, wholesale and online. This position will help to drive sales of their leadingDry Eye portfolio across the UK.This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment on several new product launches in the Ophthalmic marketplace.Ideal Requirement

  • Preferably you will be an experienced National Account Manager, ideally with contacts at Pharmacy, Optometry, and/or Wholesale level.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales success.
  • Ability to influence and lead others without direct line-management responsibility.
  • Demonstrable negotiation skills and success with buyers.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel across the UK when required.
  • Our client is happy for applicants to be based anywhere in the UK, considering there will be national travel when required.
Role Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships to ensure long-term success.
  • Set and monitor sales targets, forecasts, and strategic plans by account.
  • Targeted proposals for distribution/product selection expansion.
  • Write, present, and monitor proposals for growth.
  • Monitor competitor activity in accounts to define future strategy to achieve business goals.
  • Recruit potential KOLs for the business.
  • Manage large accounts profitably for the company and within budget.
  • Network with major customers to maximise business opportunities.
  • Segment more profitable parts of overall account business if appropriate (e.g., JVs/Destination stores for volume).
  • Ensure internal functions offer best support to national accounts, including bespoke Marketing plans/promotional activity calendars, to best meet the account needs.
  • Act as liaison between customer and internal teams.
  • Identify, contact, and attract prospective customers for new business opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts/deals to promote business growth.
  • Stay current, collect, and analyse sales data and trends from wider industry publications.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings according to company standards.
  • Liaise with sales and marketing departments to set and implement strategies for new product launches.
  • Regular Store visits and discussions with influencers and development of KOLs.
