Job Description

Currently seeking a qualified and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an award-winning packaging manufacturer. They are looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer with a developed skill set of both electrical and mechanical skills to ensure that the maintenance department is working at optimal efficiency. The role is a Day Shift Monday - Friday working from 7:30 - 4:30 with some flexibility required, salary for the position would be between £28,000 - £33,000 DOE.Responsibilities will include:

  • Carry out company maintenance needs ensuring the machinery and equipment are all efficient, optimising productivity and any work that is carried out is within budget
  • Carry out preventative planned maintenance and servicing, recording all findings and with minimum impact on productivity
  • Ensure the premises are safe and secure at all times and any required repairs are actioned
  • Resolve all emergency/ad-hoc repairs and make a recommendation to prevent a reoccurrence
  • Ensure any third party contractors are inducted on site
  • Weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly Planned Preventative Maintenance to be undertaken, plus any machinery installations and servicing
  • Report and address any Health & Safety issues within the Engineering Department in accordance with the Company’s Health & Safety Policy, Regulations and Procedures.
  • Wear correct PPE items as required by your role
  • Comply to the Company’s Quality Control Procedures
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across the Engineering Department
  • Maintain and uphold engineering qualifications, share best and inventive practice with the engineering department
