Manchester M12Exciting, modern and growing agency / supportive team and culture / 25 days holiday plus bank holidays / free onsite parking / cycle to work scheme / social events through out the year / Beer and Gin Friday club / weekly yoga and bootcamps.Reporting to the Creative Director and working alongside 2 other Motion Designers as well as a wider creative team of designers, creatives and developers, the Motion Designer will work across a range of creative motion and animation solutions across 2D and 3D for a wide variety of the agencies client list.Responsibilities includeCreate highly engaging complex animations for a diverse array of media, including smartphones, tablets and the web.Work with the creative team to understand the project scope and objectives.Assist in the creation of animation storyboards.Prepare conceptual layouts for the motion graphic project.Participate in brainstorming sessions to share new design perspectives and ideas.Provide accurate time estimates for each part of the process.Assist in selecting appropriate audio, graphic and animation styles for the project.Encoding, converting and editing videos and adding effects/elements to enhance motion graphics.Support the creative team with photo editing, bespoke illustration and icon design.Responsible for training and developing others in the use of animation software.Keeping abreast of advancements in animation as well as new technologies and techniques, contemporary trends in production design and popular music to deliver cutting edge work.Key skill sets includeStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to comprehend and uphold brand style guidelines, producing work of a suitable styleAbility to solve an array of challenges through visual designMust be able to mediate creative problems to arrive at the best solutionManage time effectively, ability to multi-task and meet deadlinesDetail-oriented individual who reviews his/her work carefully, quality control is keySelf-starter with the ability to work independently and collaborate with a teamProfessional demeanour with high degree of comfort speaking with internal clientsExperience in the following programmesAdobe After EffectsIllustratorPhotoshopCinema 4DPremiereAuditionFollowing a recent merger that has re-established the agency as one of Manchesters most progressive agencies, the Motion graphics designer and animator will join collaborative and forward thinking creative team. You will be working closely with both the creative and other internal teams, aiding with the creation of assets, then bringing them to life and delivering high quality and innovative motion graphic content. This will be someone who is a passionate and creative individual with excellent aesthetic judgment. The Motion Designer will be an integral part of every stage in the creative process, from conceptualization to client amends. Finally, you will have an awareness of the latest thinking and ideas, award winning creative, trends and advancements.
