Job Description

VS414/04Maintenance Operative Salary: £28,000 per annumLocation: Manchester City CentreHours: 9am6pm, MondayFriday and one Saturday per month with a day off during the week.My client offers two high spec development of 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartments based in City Centre Manchester. They offer a brand new rental experience, designed and built entirely with renters in mind. Their expertly managed development offers everything needed for a stress-free lifestyle.This is a stand alone role working across two sites, next door to each other. You will need to be self motivated and be able to manage and plan you time.You will ensure their properties are inviting, well maintained and safe. Youll spend a lot of your day meeting our customers and really influencing their experience.Duties

  • Top of your agenda at all times; practice an unrelenting approach to safety and welfare
  • Take a proactive approach to ensure that the developments are maintained to very high standards, filling and painting walls, basic joinery, fixing doors, locks, broken handles, changing light bulbs, switches, sockets, basic pluming, fixing leaking taps,showers, siliconing etc
  • Conducting the maintenance of the building and building fabric, including repairs and redecoration as required.
  • Working from an online system that logs maintenance jobs, you should be IT literate and plan/manage your time to ensure jobs are completed.
  • Update the system when jobs are completed
  • Carrying out reactive maintenance tasks with the focus being on customer service and quality workmanship.
  • Act as the eyes and ears for the Property Manager for issues throughout the properties and ensure they are reported as required promptly and professionally.
  • Escort and assist specialist engineers/sub-contractors attending site to carry out works as and when necessary.
  • Ensuring every interaction you have with our customers is a positive one, that makes a difference to their day.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working in a similar maintenance role
  • Experience of carrying out basic maintenance and building fabric works
  • Any additional experience as an electrician would be advantageous
  • Experience in a customer service environment
  • Awareness of Health & Safety practice
  • Experience of working in facilities management
  • Conscientious
  • Personable and easy to communicate with, well-liked by everyone
  • Self-Motivated
  • Highly organised, on time, well-presented.
