Job Description

GSL Education are supporting secondary schools across Manchester with classroom cover supervisors, and due to the demand we are recruiting new staff to work either full time or part time in our schools.The role of cover supervisor is a very rewarding challenge that is perfect for someone who enjoys helping young people to learn, providing the support to overcome any barriers to learning.To excel in this role, you should:

  • Be confident in front of a classroom, managing the behaviour and ensuring learners understand the lesson objectives.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about teaching and learning
  • Able to create a positive learning environment has good and strong classroom management.
  • Help learners to meet the lesson objectives.
  • Adaptable, flexible, be able to work at short notice and get to schools quickly.
  • Able to think on your feet and use initiative.
This role is perfect for anyone hoping to develop a career in Teaching. If you’re experienced working with young people and believe you can motivate young people, we encourage you to apply. We have previously placed people from Youth Work backgrounds, sportscoaches and psychology graduates as they have all gained experienced in working with young people in formal settings that have transferable skills to the role of learning support assistant.Key Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for creating a positive and enriching learning environment.
