To handle Motor and Casualty portal and OIC caseload and to assist senior fee earners with small claims track, fast track and multi track caseload within the Counter Fraud Team for a wide range of clients including major insurers, self-insureds, local authorities,and insurance brokers.Client DetailsMy client are a leading defendant law firm that provides innovative, high quality, specialist legal services to insurance companies, corporate and public sector bodies.They offer clients the full breadth of claims-related legal work, from high volume claims handling through to complex, high value litigation. The firm has over 700 employees and is headquarters in Leeds, with eight additional offices across the UK, London,Manchester, Evesham, Liverpool, Edinburgh and Chelmsford.Description- Identifying fraud type, set initial strategy, action plan and assess prospects of success following a review of available evidence- Undertake investigations including gathering evidence and taking statements- Assisting with preparing/drafting legal documents, including directions Questionnaires, List of Documents, Part 18 and Part 35 questions Pre-Trial checklists etc- Analysis of expert reports and updates medical and engineering reports and appropriately challenging such reports through effective use of Part 35 questions- Providing written reports and updates to clients and adhering to service level agreements- Liaising with Counsel and Chambers and preparing instructions to Counsel where required- Advise on potential recovery and enforcement on appropriate casesProfile- Educated to GCSE level C/4 or equivalent in five subjects, including English and Mathematics- 4-5 years experience in handling files and managing own caseload- Previous counter fraud experience preferable but not essential. Understanding of fundamental dishonesty provisions and case law beneficial- Experience of handling personal injury claims and credit hire claims preferable- An understanding of pre-litigation and portal claims and awareness of litigation practice and processes together with indemnity principles- Proficient use of a case management system.
