Job Description

Job IntroductionMain Responsibilities

  • Recovering Insolvency debt.
  • Legal risk mitigation
  • Efficiencies and cost savings to branches
  • Knowledge development within the Bank
  • More efficient connection to the identification of issues that may have a wider impact for the Bank
  • Retention of customer ownership and decision making with branch

  • Advise on and draft suitable reservation of rights letters or formal demand letters
  • Advise on potential security enforcement options, including administration and fixed charge receiver appointments
  • Draft appointment deeds for receiver appointments and negotiate any required amendments with receivers lawyers
  • Advise on and draft in relation to unsecured debt recovery where initial court protocols are required to be followed. Advise on possible options in terms of executing any court judgment obtained.
  • Understand the pre-action protocols required to be followed prior to a mortgage possession claim and draft suitable Protocol compliant letters to customers
  • Advise on the potential effect on the Bank, in varying circumstances, of various corporate and personal insolvency processes
  • Advise on complex fraud matters, including APP fraud, and card related fraud.
  • Review any letters of claim made against the Bank and provide initial advice
