Job Description

Lead Security Design EngineerLocation: Manchester / Glasgow (Hybrid Working)Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 + Bonus & BenefitsA leading global financial banking client are building out their highly complex internal security capability by expanding their Security Design Engineering team. As a Lead Design Engineer, you will responsibly for designing, creating, and implementing securityproducts to protect their infrastructure.Working alongside a mature internal security capability including, red, blue, and purple teaming resources you will develop complex platforms and products that are critical to the businesses continued success.What you will do:

  • Lead fellow security engineering in the designing, deployment, and automation of security platforms across the estate.
  • Work alongside the security operations team to create automated detection capabilities to capture malicious threats before they infiltrate the organization.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners and consultants on the creation of projects that are tied into the wider business strategy.
What you will have:
  • Extensive experience in the design, deployment or integration for complex security toolings in both cloud and on prem environments.
  • Strong knowledge of various security tools and functions e.g. DNS, Firewalls, Cloud Security, AWS/Azure.
  • Ideally experience in the design of security solutions / platforms.
This role will allow you to operate as a technical lead within a truly state of the art security team. You will have the autonomy to lead complex security projects, deploying some of the most cutting-edge security platforms.
