Job Description

A bit about the TeamWe have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our friendly IT team on an apprenticeship for 2 years. This role is an entry level into IT and will provide support to our IT Service Desk team in our Manchester Office, alsoworking closely with other internal IT Teams across UK and European Offices. This vacancy sits within the wider IT Department, which comprises of the following core teams IT Service Desk , IT Training, IT Development, IT Projects and IT Technical Services,who provide key services to the Firm.This role requires you to work from our Manchester office 5 days a week and youll be working an 8.5 hours day (inclusive of a 1-hour lunch) on a shift pattern between the hours of 08:00 - 19:00. The role reports to the IT Service Desk Team Leader.What the role will involve

  • The provision of first-line support for incidents and service requests, logging and responding to all contacts from customers, including walk-ups, telephone calls, emails and self-service portal communicating with customers in a professional, supportiveand positive manner both verbally and in writing
  • To carry out initial diagnosis on all logged issues/incidents received at the Service Desk and take appropriate steps to resolve the fault and ensuring that all details are captured from the customer regarding the incident
  • Proactively keep the Customer informed of any progress on their incident/service request
