Job Description

IT Security Engineer | £60k - £70k | Fully Remote | Games Studio Would you like to work for one of the top game studios in the UK Want to work for a firm that is dedicated to creating the most thrilling gaming experiences for users all around the worldThen perhaps this is the position for you.My client is seeking an IT security engineer to work on a number of initiatives related to a company-wide security strategy. You will be a member of a team that develops, clarifies, and upholds the network and security standards that Corporate IT Services arefounded upon and abide by.The ideal IT security engineer will have knowledge of IT infrastructure design, upkeep, support, and advancement, as well as support for development tools and handling support inquiries.Benefits:

Role:
  • Uphold and enhance the security posture of cloud computing platforms like Azure and M365.
  • While putting security solutions into practise, identify and evaluate threats.
  • Maintain, support, and advance the Corporate IT Infrastructure
  • Implement and set up security rules and controls, such as threat protection and escalation procedures for security incidents.
  • Automate security measures, information, and procedures for better metrics and operational assistance.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of common authentication technologies: OAuth, SAML, CAs, OTP/TOTP
  • Strong familiarity with cloud-native tools in Azure: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Security Center
  • A deep understanding of networking: IP subnetting, Network Security Groups, routing, Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, load balancer, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Azure Access Policies
  • Good experience in security systems: Firewalls intrusion detection systems anti-virus software authentication systems log management content filtering etc
  • Experience in vulnerability scanning. Ideally with Carbon Black EDR and Rapid7.
  • Have a good working knowledge of Enterprise networks: LANs, WANs, vLANs and VPNs (virtual private networks)
  • Have a good understanding of Virtualization technologies: VMWare, VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure)
  • Deep understanding of Network Security Architecture, Cyber Security Threat Management and Hardening practices, with experience in the following: NIST Framework, CIS Best Practices, Security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR)
  • A good understanding of Agile Methodologies, and experience working in Kanban, or as part of a cross-functional team.
