Focus 5 Recruitment are recruiting for a hands on IT Operations Manager who will lead the IT Operations Team, responsible for supporting and maintaining our clients IT systems and for providing efficient desktop support to all business users. Confidence should be given that the issue is being managed and kept on top off and that a solution will be found.Requirements for the IT Operations Manager: Duties* Lead the IT Operations team, providing management and mentoring to staff.* Provide 1st & 2nd Line Support through the IT Service Desk and IT Support Line.* Log support requests/incidents into our Service Desk in detail.* Monitor, track, and work on requests/incidents in our Service Desk.* Monitor and respond to system monitoring alarms.* Work on routine maintenance, tasks and projects as required to set deadlines.* Follow Change Control Procedures when planning, executing, reviewing system changes.* Hardware Support (Desktops, Laptops, Printers, Peripherals etc)* Software Support (Windows, MS Office, Internal Applications)* Telephone Support* User Administration Support (New Starters/Leavers/Transfers/Desk Moves)* Network Support* Work with our external partners to deliver a capable, available and secure environment.Experience required* Minimum of 3 years experience in an IT Service Desk Environment* Excellent communication Skills (Over Phone, Written and Face to Face)* A positive and friendly attitude when dealing with internal and external customers* Diligent and strong work ethic* Resilient and able to perform under pressure* Has initiative, is self-motivated and takes ownership within area of responsibility* Ability to work effectively within a team* "Hands On" Approach with an appetite to learn and take on new challenges* Strong ability to problem-solve and troubleshootEssential* Windows 7/10 OS* MS Office 2010/2013/2016/2019* Active Directory Administration* Exchange 2010/2013 Administration* Windows Deployment / Scripted Installations* Windows Server 2008/2012/2012r2* Networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN, WLAN)* Installing / Configuring Printers* Office 365 Administration* Windows Server 2008/2012/2012r2* Group Policy Management* VMWare ESX ExposureDesirable* Kace 2000 Deployment Tool* Kaspersky Anti-virus* Manage Engine Products (Desktop Central, Service Desk Plus, Self Service Plus)* PRTG Monitoring* Mimecast* SANs / NASs* Mitel Phone System / IP Phones* Cisco network appliance administration* HP switch administrationThis IT Operations Manager is a live role with a key client.
