As IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will support the Group IT Infrastructure Manager in providing a 1st class Information Technology Platform to internal staff and customers, help manage Virtual Environments which host a variety of servers platforms, runninga variety of applications including, Microsoft Exchange Online, IIS and SQL Server.Client DetailsMichael Page Technology are delighted to have partnered exclusively with an established retail/merchandising business that have been pioneering their sector for over 30 years.DescriptionWhat youll be doing:As IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will support the Group IT Infrastructure Manager in providing a 1st class Information Technology Platform to internal staff and customers, help manage Virtual Environments which host a variety of servers platforms, runninga variety of applications including, Microsoft Exchange Online, IIS and SQL Server.Responsibilities:

• Ensure the efficient and smooth running of the IT Infrastructure
• Establish and maintain processes for monitoring and maintaining server and network performance
• Establish and maintain processes for monitoring and maintaining server and network security
• To maintain our VMWare/Hyper-V virtual environments
• Maintain the server and network infrastructure, including installing, updating, Patching, and producing supporting documentation
• Maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, IIS, Mail services, Database Servers and any other system or service utilised by the business
• Work with the Business Systems Team to ensure optimal performance of database servers
• Ensure all processes for backups and disaster recovery are functioning and regularly monitored
• Undertaking IT Projects as directed by the Group IT Infrastructure Manager
• Provide 3rd line IT Support to the business, managed, and communicated via the IT Helpdesk system
• Maintain a high level of availability and communication across the internal IT team, user base and customers where needed, to set expectation and provide support as needed by the business
• Manage workload and priorities in line with expectations lead by the Group IT Infrastructure Manager

ProfileKey Skills & Experience:

• Windows Server 2008 and above
• Virtualisation with VMware & Hyper-V
• DHCP, DNS, NPS, Active Directory, Group Policy
• Microsoft Exchange 2010 / 2013 / 365 in the Cloud
• Microsoft O365 (Teams, One drive, SharePoint, etc)
• IIS 7.0 and above
• PowerShell
• Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and above
• Microsoft Azure
• Migration experience into Microsofts cloud offerings
• Experience of working with SAN Technologies
• VoIP phone systems
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Experience of managing Firewalls, switches, and other network infrastructure
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP and other protocols
• VLANs
• Routing
• Knowledge of server performance and optimising configurations
• Experience of implementing industry standard security principles across the server and network environment
• Excellent Communications skills for both technical and non-technical people
• Works well with others
