Our client, a private equity-backed healthcare provider, has an urgent need for an Interim Management Accountant for an initial 3-6 month contract who will play a key role in the calculation, reporting and explaining of the management accounts, and supportbusiness planning activities and commercial decision making.Whilst not fully remote, our client is offering a high level of flexibility. Ideally, they would like the successful candidate to attend either the Manchester or London one day per week, however, they would be open to one day per fortnightThis contract be offered at either £50,000 - £60,000 salary FTC, or the day rate equivalent (c£250 - £350pd).KEY RESPONSIBILITIES* To support the production of the monthly accounts and supporting information, ensuring that agreed deadlines are met.* To analyse management information and provide information as to reasons for key variances.* To participate in monthly service management meetings to review accounts and forecasts.* To calculate complex revenue and cost accruals and manage the associated general ledger accounts.* To reconcile balance sheet control accounts on a monthly basis and highlight risks and opportunities to the Financial Controller.* To assist with business planning activities relating to forecasting and the annual budget process.* To support commercial decision-making.* To assist in the effective management of working capital, to include billing, purchase ledger support, production of working capital reports and escalating overdue debts.KEY REQUIREMENTS* Preferably be a fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)* Strong Excel skills and possess good written and verbal communication skills.* Health sector experience is beneficial but not essential.* Multi-site business experience beneficial but not essential.* Knowledge of Sage.* Strong communication and information-gathering skills with a focus on building business partnerships.PLACE OF WORKThe location of work will be flexible. Largely remote but, at minimum, the post holder will be required to attend fortnightly at one of the satellite offices in London or Manchester.
