The Company Overview:Butler rose are exclusively partnered with a US owned Shared Service Centre in Manchester city centre who are seeking an Interim Financial Accountant (RTR) for an initial 6-month period. This role is a senior position which will play a key part in supportingthe team as it continues to grow and will, in turn, offer multiple rewards. In addition, they are a very collaborative organisation, listening to staff suggestions and as such, your input will always be valued, and you will really feel like youre making yourmark in the wider business.Hybrid working is on offer as are flexible start & finish times.Your new role as Interim Financial Accountant (RTR):Your duties will include:Close off 2021 financial year end & then start on 2022Acting as key point of contact for Year End Audit, and liaison with External AuditorsPreparing appropriate schedules for Year End AuditMonthly & quarterly VAT submissionsInvolvement in systems migration project from SAP to Microsoft 365Preparing and submitting EC Sales lists & IntrastatsReporting and submitting other Tax or Regulatory requirementsTaking ownership of the European entitiesResponsible for General ledger accounting processes, month end close activities and deadlines (accruals, prepayments, review of automated batch postings)Reviewing P&L account accuracy at each reporting pointPosting monthly payroll journal and preparing payroll related paymentsReviewing and maintaining a detailed and accurate balance sheet reconciliationWorking closely with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Treasury Teams in order to accurately reflect the accounting position and performance as well as ensuring high standards of service deliveryAssisting in preparation of Annual Company Corporate Tax ReturnsThe Experience & Qualifications Required:The successful Candidate shall be/have:Ideally a Qualified AccountantWillingness to be hands-on, get stuck in & do a bit of everything!Knowledge of European Accounting, Entities, Tax & Regulatory environments would be a bonusCountry specific knowledge would be advantageous.
