Job Description

Infrastructure Engineer - Digital Agency - ManchesterSalary: £35k - £50kAre you an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a background in the Digital Agency industry We are currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our client based in Manchester!We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a fast-growing Digital Agency. As the Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the IT infrastructure for the business, as well as providingtechnical support to the users.The perfect candidate for this role must have atleast 2 years previous experience in IT infrastructure and have a good understanding of the Digital Agency industry. You must be able to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work independently,as well as part of a team.Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and maintain the IT infrastructure of the business
  • Monitoring, maintaining and growing their multi-site VMware vSphere environment
  • Disaster Recovery and Backup solutions (i.e Veeam)
  • Management of Windows, ISS and SQL Server
  • Supporting and growing their Docker & Kubernetes clusters
  • Managing firewalls, switches and VPNs
  • Ensure that all IT systems are running efficiently
  • Assist in the installation of new hardware or software
Technical Skills Required:
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows and Linux VMs
  • Knowledge of network technologies (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Knowledge of security protocols and Firewalls (e.g. IPSec, SSL, VPN, SonicWall, Cisco)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure
  • Understanding of container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
