Job Description

Information Security AnalystHome Based / Manchester£40,000 - £45,000 basic salary (DOE) plus generous benefits package and long term career opportunities.RBW have partnered with a leading social care client who are looking for an Information Security Analyst to work with them on a permanent basis.You will be working within a small team and take individual responsibility to support the team and wider business to work on various projects and BAU activities around Information Security Management, Security Operations and Security Engineering.Key responsibilities will include;

  • Provide technical advice to projects, manage the security toolset and provide incident response when needed.
  • Support with writing technical policies and standards inline with ISO27001, Public Sector Security standards including NHS Toolkit, HMG Cyber Essentials, Cloud Security Principles etc.
  • Keeping up to date with current legislation relating to Information Security.
  • Work with the Head of Cyber Security to create and maintain security documentation and risk assess Information Security and escalate any threats or weaknesses.
  • Work on design and specification of automated Security tooling, actively monitor security tooling deployed across the business, provide support relating to potential breaches and provide direction and leadership to the wider IT team if an event occurs.
    • Additional responsibilities will be discussed depending on the level of experience and continued professional development.Essential skills and experience for Information Security Analysts include as a minimum;
  • At least 3 years within a similar role within an Information Security team
  • ISO27001 accreditation
  • Knowledge and experience with Cloud Security such as SaaS, PaaS, Iaas, Azure, O365 and Oracle
  • Exposure to CISCO ASA - configuration, VPN configuration etc
  • Extensive experience with Windows (both server and desktop) and all aspects of security and audit controls
  • Visualisation skills particularly with VMWare and HyperV
  • You will be degree educated and/or have CISSP, CISA or other industry relevant qualifications.
